Yelagiri is a peaceful and unexplored hill station in Tamil Nadu. Yelagiri  is a small hill station located in between the towns of Vaniyambadi and Jolarpettai Located midway between Chennai and Bangalore it is also known as the 'Poor Man's Ooty'. Populated by tribal’s, the Yelagiri hills are still relatively isolated. Previously, the scenic Yelagiri didn't have much to draw tourists except the boating experience in the stream and lake at the foothills. But nowadays, Yelagiri has many attractions for tourists and the latest addition is paragliding. Besides having all the features of a pleasant hill resort, well-connected roads, easy access of transportation etc also makes Yelagri a good tourist destination.  The 14 hairpin bends up to the top gives superb views. The hill also attracts thousands of people during the annual Summer Festival.
